In Part 2, we will be continuing from where we left off in the spring. Instruction is geared to the intermediate level student who is already familiar with tai chi. Class content will include review of the Tai chi For Health form, instruction in Yang 24 and a new qigong set.

If you have ever wanted to begin a tai chi practice, NOW is the time to join! Part 1 instruction is geared to the beginner student who has little or no tai chi experience. This ancient and graceful form of Tai Chi is often described as "meditation in motion." It helps reduce stress and anxiety by promoting a serene state of mind through the gentle, flowing, focused motion of the form and deep breathing. This form improves health, sleep, flexibility, focus, strength, balance, reduces stress, promotes relaxation and helps you move more gracefully. Yang 24 is the most popular form worldwide. Class content will include qigong and will follow with step by step instruction of the form. Please wear comfortable clothing.

The fan form will develop graceful movements and fluidity while building chi and strength.  Practicing this form will improve posture, enhance balance, flexibility and coordination. You can purchase a fan made of either plastic or bamboo. It’s a personal preference. I have found that the plastic fans are easier to open and close than the bamboo fans.  Fans can be purchased on Amazon.
